Celebrating Strength, Resilience, and Progress: International Women's Day

Today, on International Women’s Day, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible women in my life and the powerful journey of women throughout history.
The Women Who Inspire Me
Strong women aren’t just those we read about in history books—they are the mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends who shape our world every day. I am grateful for the women I know personally who have shown resilience in the face of adversity, kindness when it was needed most, and strength when life threw its hardest challenges their way.
Thank you to my mother, the late Sandra Brand, for raising me to be the strong woman I am today—for teaching me to rise above the storms, face every challenge head-on, be resilient, and inspire others.
To the mothers I know—who sacrifice, nurture, and love unconditionally—you are the backbone of families and communities. Your ability to put others first while still chasing your own dreams is nothing short of inspiring.
To the strong women in my life—who push forward even when the road is tough, who lift others up while carrying their own burdens—you show what it means to be powerful.
Women have come a long way, but it hasn’t been an easy road. The fight for equality, recognition, and basic rights has been long and hard. From the suffragettes who fought for voting rights to today's pioneers reshaping politics, business, science, and sports, every step forward has been hard-earned.
Yet, despite progress, challenges remain. Women still battle against discrimination, gender-based violence, and inequality in workplaces and homes. But if history has taught us anything, it is that women are unstoppable.
The Power of Resilience
One of the greatest strengths of a woman is her ability to rise—again and again. No matter how many times life knocks us down, we get back up. Whether it’s rebuilding after failure, healing from heartbreak, or finding our way after loss, women have an ability to transform pain into power.
This resilience is what makes women extraordinary. We don’t just survive; we thrive. We rebuild, reinvent, and keep going because we know our worth.
International Women’s Day is not just about celebration—it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we still have to go. It’s about lifting each other up, supporting women in all walks of life, and continuing the fight for equality.
So today, I celebrate all the strong women I know, the mothers, the fighters, the dreamers, the leaders. May we never stop pushing forward, never stop believing in ourselves, and never forget that we are stronger together.
Happy International Women’s Day!
