Life is too short to be anything but happy

Life comes with so many trials and tribulations, it is hard to believe sometimes. With some circumstances, we handle them like a pinch of salt. Others drain us to the point we lose control of the situations. We allow ourselves to be consumed with fear, hurt, anger and stress, to the point we become depressed or anxious.

Depression is one of the most common mental health challenges faced by people in the UK, and affects how you think and feel. Milder forms of depression can make everyday tasks – such as sleeping or working – harder to do and the most severe cases can make a person feel worthless.

Anxiety is part of our body’s natural defences – a reaction to feeling under threat. However, with the right support many people can learn to live alongside depression and anxiety, or overcome them altogether. So, it's very important that we try to not let these conditions affect our way of living.

Some of us allow peoples negative energy and drama to control our well being, when in fact, there is nothing more important than being happy and living a positive life.

Being happy should be a fundamental aspect of life. Being happy should be every individuals priority. Happiness can be learned, but finding meaning and a purpose in life is what leads to it, not the other way around.

Life is too short to dwell on the past. What is the point of hurting yourself over and over again when you're trying to move forward? Some of us hold on to things that have happened to us years ago and fail to recognise that unless you let go, unless you forgive the situation, you cannot open new doors.

Life is too short to worry about what others think of you. If I gave a damn about what others thought about me, I would be in a mad house right now. I know I have people that generally admire me as a person and who feel inspired by attitude to life. But, I also know, I have many undercover haters who envy everything I do. My message to them. "If you want what I have, go out and get it. Stop watching. Stop hating and become the better version of you. We all have our time to shine and maybe my time has just come before yours. It doesn't mean I am better than anyone else. I am simply making the most out of the resources available to me. If you do not like what you see, look away. No one knows my struggle except those who are close to me. So, do not not judge those who you know nothing about."

Life is too short to worry about the things you cannot change. But, if you can change something, do it and don't look back.

Life is too short to surround yourself with people who do nothing for you. If there are people who you expect to support you and encourage, but they are not there for you. It's time to keep it moving.

Life is too short to be in a job that you do not enjoy or benefit from. Think how many hours we spend at work interacting with people who may not value us, or appreciate us? Doing work that we don't even get paid enough to do.

Life is too short to be in a relationship where your worth is not valued. If your partner takes you for granted, then you are wasting your time on someone who doesn't deserve you. Be with someone who will lift you, embrace you, grow with you and love you unconditionally. Life is too short to settle for less than you deserve. If you believe you are worth more than diamonds, then you should except nothing but the best in life.

Life is too short to live your life having regrets. Its a waste of energy. You cannot build on it. It is only good for wallowing in. Life is too short to keep dreaming about things never happening for you. Dreaming is for those who like to sleep and as much as it is nice to dream, it's also nice to be awake having fun putting those dreams into action. At the same time, life is too short to be living someone elses dream.

Life is too short to be bitter and hold grudges. Those who have hurt you will meet their karma. Still love with a warm heart. Forgive, forget and skip through into the next chapter. Life is too short to seek revenge. The only person you will be hurting is yourself.

Don't be the person who wishes what if. Don't allow your life to pass you by not having great experiences. Travel the world, look for opportunities, achieve your goals and make everyday seem as it is your last. Look at every challenge as a way of moving forward to succeed. I vowed to make 2018 a great year. I want it to be full of experiences and great memories. No matter what I have faced, I have continued to smile and I refuse to give up. Why give up, when life has so much to offer?

Life isn't supposed to be easy, but it's not supposed to be awful either.

So, my outlook on life is to take the rough with the smooth and fight my way through it, having fun on the way. I want my sons to see my determination and drive. I want them to understand from an early age that life is about living. I want them to understand the importance of accomplishing everything they hope to achieve and not be discouraged by others opinion. I was once told your children are a reflection of you. So, if you promote love, good vibes, they will follow by example. If they see you happy, they too will feel happy. So, there is nothing more important than ensuring that the life you lead is a positive one for your family. The world is your oyster, so make the most of life before it comes to an end. As they say, our time will come and neither of us know when that time will be. Tomorrow is never promised. When my time comes, I know that I will leave thousands of memories with my friends and family. Whether that be visually or mentally. I want to be remembered as the woman who lived life to the full and made sure that she fought for her happiness. I don't intend to sit back and wait for good things to happen. I'm just going to go out and grab happiness with open arms. There are so many beautiful places, people, cultures and people for me to see in this world. There are also many things that I still want to do and achieve. I am viewing the world as an open canvas and each country or experience creates a small part of an art piece. Once each piece is put together, the more beautiful the final piece will be.
